Insight provided into Tottenham’s Bale fee & value of Real Madrid’s Reguilon buyback clause

A pair of updates surrounding Tottenham’s business on the transfer market have been forthcoming online on Friday.

Spurs making moves

Ongoings at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium have of course taken centre stage in the media this week.

This comes with the north Londoners primed to spring into action, to provide Jose Mourinho with the kind of high-profile reinforcements that will push Spurs back towards the Premier League’s top-4 this season.

To this point in the summer, the Lilywhites’ two major signings have come in the form of Matt Doherty and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

As such, it no doubt came as a major boost to fans of the capital giants when, this past Tuesday, word was forthcoming that the club were closing on the double addition of Real Madrid pair Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale.

Left-back Reguilon’s arrival is expected to come as a permanent switch, whilst Bale’s return to north London will be on a loan basis.

Lilywhites latest

And, as outlined above, ahead of the imminent announcement of both transfers (which could well arrive this weekend), fresh details regarding the terms of the agreement between Spurs and Real Madrid have been forthcoming.

The first surrounds exactly how much Bale’s loan move back to the club is set to cost Tottenham.

As per Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, despite the hefty initial demands of the board at the Bernabeu, Daniel Levy and co. have managed to secure a deal, whereby they will pay just £220,000 of Bale’s £600,000-per-week wages.

As such, in total, the Welshman’s year at the club is expected to set Spurs back around £9 million:

Next up comes an insight into the value of Real Madrid’s buyback clause on Reguilon.

Los Blancos evidently feel as though their Premier League-bound stopper could yet develop into one of world football’s finest in his position, and therefore demanded that an option to bring Reguilon back to the club at some point down the line be included in any sale.

And, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the fee agreed on between Real and Tottenham comes in around the €45 million mark:
