Lingard to follow?
Martial may not be the only member of interim boss Ralf Rangnick’s bloated Manchester United squad to seal a departure from the club before the January transfer window slams shut.
This comes with Jesse Lingard too inching towards an exit, amid mounting interest on the part of newly-minted Newcastle United.
In fact, earlier today, it was reported that the Magpies are ‘confident’ that a deal for Lingard will be struck over the coming 48 hours, with the midfielder himself not opposed to the prospect of making the move to St. James’ Park on a permanent basis in the summer.
Newcastle are confident of signing Jesse Lingard in the next 48 hours. Looks like a loan deal. Told Lingard isn’t against a permanent move to SJP but wants game time first and then to assess options.
