Premier League giants Arsenal have, on Thursday, sealed a deal for the club's 2nd signing of the summer window.

The player set to make the move to the red half of north London ahead of next season? Fabio Vieira.

As confirmed by a whole host of reliable sources, in something of a bolt from the blue, a deal has been struck between the respective boards at the Emirates Stadium and Estádio do Dragão, to send gifted midfielder Vieira to the former over the coming days.

The agreement is understood to be based around an initial fee of €35 million, followed by a further €5 million in bonuses.

Vieira, in turn, is set to fly out to London later today, to undertake the first steps of his medical, ahead of putting pen to paper on a contract with Arsenal through the summer of 2027.

This comes after super agent Jorge Mendes wasted little time in pouncing upon the interest of those in a position of power at the Emirates, to secure the first big-money move of his young client's career.

Vieira, for his part, acts largely as an attacking midfielder, but is also more than capable of taking his place out wide, or as a 2nd striker.

This past season saw the 22-year-old dazzle in his home country of Portugal despite somewhat restricted game-time, racking up six goals and 14 assists in 27 Primeira Liga appearances, just 15 of which came in the form of starts.
