Danny Welbeck celebrates vs West Ham

Everton & Bournemouth line up Danny Welbeck deal

Arsenal & Danny Welbeck

What does Danny Welbeck’s future look like at Arsenal?

Welbeck was selected in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at the 2018 World Cup. He only played 11 minutes in Russia.

On Monday Welbeck has returned for his first day of pre-season training with Arsenal.

The Gunners star their campaign next weekend with a tough test against Man City.

Welbeck is unlikely to feature in that game as the forward will lack match fitness.

But will Welbeck even play for Arsenal this term?

According to Monday’s Evening Standard, Unai Emery has told the former Man United striker that he’s outside his starting XI.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are above Welbeck in the pecking order.

Everton vs Bournemouth

The Evening Standard question whether Welbeck will remain at Arsenal this season.

Now 27, Welbeck only has a year to run on his Arsenal contract.

Everton have been listed as a possible suitor for Welbeck this summer.

The Evening Standard again link Everton with the forward, adding that Bournemouth and Southampton are also sniffing around.

Will Welbeck move to a different Premier League side before the transfer window shuts at 5pm on Thursday?

Calum Chambers to Fulham

Sticking with outgoings at Arsenal, defender Calum Chambers is on his way to Fulham on loan.

Chambers is joining Fulham in the hope of gaining more Premier League experience this term.

While the deal has yet to be confirmed, Chambers should go straight into the Fulham XI.

That’s because new signing Alfie Mawson is out for several weeks with a knee injury. Fulham’s Denis Odoi is also suspended for two games having been sent off in the Championship play-off final.
