Everton & Man United’s Marcos Rojo
With seven days remaining in the summer transfer window, things are hotting up at Goodison Park.
In big news out of Argentina, leading newspaper Ole have today announced that Everton have lodged a bid with Man United for Marcos Rojo.
According to Ole, Everton have offered United 33 million euros for Rojo.
Rojo’s current deal at Man United extends until 2021.
But will the Red Devils cash in on Everton’s offer?
Ole note that the final obstacle to the deal being completed is for Rojo and Everton to agree terms on the player’s salary.
Ole warn Everton that Rojo would demand a pay-raise to swap Old Trafford for Goodison Park.
Ashely Williams to Stoke City
The latest Rojo update comes at the same time as Ashley Williams seems set to leave Everton.
Welsh international Williams is poised to leave the Toffees to join Championship side Stoke City.
Indeed, it’s been confirmed on Thursday that Marco Silva has exiled Williams, Kevin Mirallas, Cuco Martina and Nikola Vlasic from training with the rest of the first team squad.
What does this mean for Yerry Mina?
The Ole update would suggest that Everton have thrown in the towel on trying to sign Yerry Mina from Barcelona.
Is that because the Colombian international is set to join Man United instead?
In recent days Yerry Mina has set off alarm bells with his social media activity. The defender has deleted references to Barcelona from his Instagram account, while he’s begun following Man United on the social network.
