Everton & Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck
On Thursday in the Times, journalist Gary Jacob has cast his eye over 10 possible deals in the final week of the summer transfer window.
That’s lead to a report that Everton could sign Danny Welbeck from Arsenal.
Welbeck was selected in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at the 2018 World Cup. He only played 11 minutes in Russia.
Now 27, Welbeck only has a year to run on his Arsenal contract. And the former Man United forward is firmly behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in the Gunners pecking order.
On a possible move to Everton, the Times report the following:
Times have changed at Arsenal and the striker is free to leave having entered the final year of his contract.
He has not started more than 18 league matches in any of his four years at the club, a spell that has been disrupted by injury. Everton have registered an interest.
The Times believe Welbeck would command a £20 million transfer fee.
The broadsheet give Welbeck a 90% chance of switching clubs this summer.
Man United & Barcelona’s Yerry Mina
Another possible Premier League summer deal could see Yerry Mina arrive in England.
Manchester United and Everton have been named as the two clubs monitoring the Colombian’s availability from the Camp Nou.
Mina made a name for himself at the World Cup as he repeatedly found the target.
The Times believe Yerry Mina is 90% certain to leave Barca. But where will he go? Readers are told:
Available barely seven months after his £10.5 million move from Palmeiras, in Brazil, to the Catalan club, where performances have been picked apart.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Manchester United have been linked with the centre back.
Everton has also been linked to Man United’s Marcos Rojo is they miss out on Mina.
