Fee agreed

Everton have reached an agreement with Swansea City for the £48m transfer of Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to a source on Twitter.

Everton are also set to receive a fee for Ross Barkley believed to be in excess of £35m, with Ronald Koeman confirming that the England international will leave the club this summer.

Sigurdsson midfielder enjoyed a very fruitful season for Swansea City last Premier League campaign, scoring 9 and achieving 13 assists in 38 appearances.

Announcement soon

According to the same source,  Everton could be set to announce the signing as soon as Friday or Saturday.

Leaked notes from Everton’s Magazine for August also show that Sigurdsson is due to have an interview with the club, further suggesting that a deal is close.
