European clubs line up for Mexican talent Jesus Corona

According to multiple reports this afternoon, a queue of top European clubs have registered an interest in signing talented Mexican winger Jesus Corona.

Corona, a 24-year-old Mexican international, was in impressive form for current club Porto throughout last season, with his combination of pace and dribbling abilities alerting clubs worldwide to his talents.

In 29 appearances for his country, Corona has racked up 7 goals, with his brilliant performance versus the Republic of Ireland earlier this month only serving to push his name further up the wishlist of several clubs.

Of the numerous clubs linked with a move for the former Twente star, Barcelona, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly the most interested, though a big-money move to the Premier League has also been touted.

Confederations absence

Corona would likely have proven a star attraction at the ongoing Confederations Cup, but pulled out of his country’s squad shortly before the start of the tournament due to personal reasons.

Though no explanation was provided past this, a number of sources have since speculated that the winger’s absence is due to the fact that he is currently finalising a transfer to a top European club.
