Jack Wilshere to leave Arsenal
On transfer deadline day, there’s one story which dominates the back pages of the English press.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to leave the Gunners on loan before the transfer window closes.
And Crystal Palace, who have recently bolstered their ranks buying Christian Benteke from Liverpool and loaning Loic Remy from Chelsea, are thought to be in pole position to land Wilshere on a season-long loan.
The deal seems to make practical sense, as Wilshere would be staying in London, and one suspects he wouldn’t need to alter his life too much.
Moreover, Wilshere would clearly be a huge addition for the Eagles, especially after a recent injury to Yohan Cabaye.
But if not Palace, then who?
Of course, a lot can happen on transfer deadline day.
According to the Mirror, the Gunners have received 22 offers from clubs in England and in Europe for Wilshere.
On those lines, the Sun are claiming that AC Milan have offered Wilshere a season-long loan deal at the San Siro – with a £30m option to buy the player.
What about Bournemouth?
Sky Sports News, however, are claiming that there are just two clubs Wilshere is looking at. Those clubs are Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.
Wilshere has reportedly had meetings with the respective managers Alan Pardew and Eddie Howe.
