Leicester sign Bartosz Kapustka
The Premier League champions have signed another important player on Wednesday.
The Foxes have confirmed that Bartosz Kapustka has joined Leicester on a five year deal from Polish outfit Cracovia.
19-year-old Kapustka is thought to have cost under 8 million pounds.
Leicester posted the following simple message on their official website:
Leicester City Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Poland winger Bartosz Kapustka, subject to FA, Premier League and international clearance.
Kapustka will wear the no.14 shirt and becomes the Foxes’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Luis Hernandez, Ron-Robert Zieler, Papy Mendy and Ahmed Musa.
Mahrez off to Arsenal?
The upshot of the Kapustka deal will be fears from Leicester fans that Riyad Mahrez is off to Arsenal.
It’s a common thought that Kapustka’s arrival would fill a hole left by Mahrez’s move to the Gunners, as the teenager can also play on the wing.
Moreover, the deal seems to follow the lines of the Nampalys Mendy purchase, which happened just before French international N’Golo Kante joined Chelsea.
