It’s rough at West Ham
West Ham fans are not having an easy time of things at the moment.
West Ham are bottom of the Premier League.
That’s after the Hammers lost 3-0 away at Newcastle on Saturday at St James’ Park.
And West Ham’s poor start to the season could cost Slaven Bilic his job.
Even before the Newcastle game, rumours were rife that Bilic was on his last legs.
The most recent updates are that Bilic has four more matches to turn things around, or he’ll be sacked.
Diafra Sakho & Rennes
While West Ham fan may be crying out for the club to make new signings before the window shuts at 11pm on Thursday night, the big story on Wednesday has centred on Diafra Sakho.
According to reports, injury plagued striker Diafra Sakho is set to move to French Ligue 1 club Rennes in a £9 million deal.
The Senegalese international striker scored in his first six matches for West Ham in 2014, following his move from Metz, but has since suffered a succession of injuries, playing in just four matches last season.
Sakho staying put
But, in a twist, the son of owner David Sullivan, Jack, has taken to social media to torpedo the rumour.
Reacting to a Sky Sports update on Sakho’s supposed move to Rennes, Jack Sullivan commented:
Ive heard he is not leaving, I’ve got a few sources at the club #ITK
So it’s over, right?
