Mousa Dembele & Toby Alderweireld: Man United & Spurs updates

Mousa Dembele, Tottenham & Inter Milan

Tottenham are the final club in the Premier League yet to make a signing this summer.

At the same time, Spurs could be gearing up for a few sales before the transfer window closes on August 9.

Could one of those sales be Mousa Dembele’s exit from the Lillywhites?

Dembele has a year to run on his Tottenham deal, and the long-standing narrative has been that the Belgian is unlikely to extend his stay at Spurs.

That’s lead to claims that Dembele may leave Tottenham this summer. However, according to the Daily Mail, any move to Inter Milan is off:

Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has rejected a £20 million move to Inter Milan.

The 31-year-old has one year left on his contract but has turned down the Serie A giants to remain in North London, despite falling down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino.

The way the Daily Mail tell the story, Dembele will stay with Spurs in 2018-19.

That could mean Dembele leaves Tottenham in twelve months time as a free agent.

Toby Alderweireld & Man United

Another transfer story which Tottenham fans will no doubt have heard is that possible transfer of Toby Alderweireld to Man United.

Over the weekend claims circled that Man United may sign Alderweireld by Tuesday.

Yet the Daily Mail have also poured cold water on that possible deal. Readers are told:

Tottenham have yet to receive a bid from Manchester United for Toby Alderweireld.

At the same time reports on Monday claim that Man United have lost the race to sign Yerry Mina.

The Colombian seems set to join Everton from FC Barcelona instead.

Meanwhile, on Sunday night reports claimed that Man United are interested in Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng.
