The bookies think Daniel Sturridge is leaving Liverpool in January for Everton

Does Daniel Sturridge want to leave Liverpool?

In recent days, rumours have once again picked up about Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge is apparently keen to leave Liverpool this January due to a lack of opportunities under Jurgen Klopp.

The German Liverpool manager has a raft of great options in attacking positions right now, including his famous four of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.

According to reports, Sturridge wants to leave Liverpool in order to secure a spot in the England World Cup squad.

Daniel Sturridge’s contract at Liverpool is until the end of the 2018/2019 season.

Everton shock favourites to sign Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge could soon find himself moving from the red half of Merseyside to the blue, according to Ladbrokes.

The England striker is reportedly looking for a January move to increase his chances of getting a World Cup spot, and the bookies have priced up a shock move to Everton at just 6/4.

That means the Toffees are favourites in the market in the race for Sturridge, ahead of West Ham (7/4) who were linked with a move for the forward back in the summer.

Meanwhile, 7/2 says Newcastle bring the Liverpool ace in, while it’s 6/1 for a move to Crystal Palace or Southampton respectively.

Will Sturridge move across the city?!

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The longer Sturridge sits on Liverpool’s bench, the less likely he is to be sitting on Southgate’s plane to Russia. But with a January move now looking inevitable, the striker might just ruffle a few feathers on his way out of Anfield by moving across the city.”

So, if the bookmakers are to be believed right now, Everton are closing in on the signing of Louis van Gaal as manager and Daniel Sturridge up front!
