Premier League outfit Crystal Palace have, on Friday, confirmed a pair of additions to the club's first-team ranks.

First up comes highly-regarded youngster Malcolm Ebiowei.

Recent weeks had of course seen it widely speculated that attacker Ebiowei, fresh off exploding onto the scene in the Championship with Derby County, had been identified as a key summer target on the part of the powers that be at Selhurst Park.

The 18-year-old was also hotly tipped for a move to Manchester United, though, amid the ongoing rebuilding job under the watch of Erik ten Hag.

But, as alluded to above, on Friday, Ebiowei has opted to commit his future to Palace.

As per a series of posts across the club's website and social media platforms, the English youth international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract in south London, primed to link up with the Eagles' first-team squad for the 2022/23 campaign.

Crystal Palace's free agent reinforcements, though, have not ended there.

This comes with the capital outfit having also secured fresh blood between the posts, to provide competition for Vicente Guaita over the seasons to come.

As expected, on the back of the expiration of his contract with West Bromwich Albion, Sam Johnstone has taken his talents to Selhurst Park.

The England international has signed on the dotted line with Palace through the summer of 2026, confirming his excitement with the prospect of lining out for a club boasting 'fantastic facilities and brilliant supporters ':

“I’m really excited to be here at Crystal Palace. It’s a great club with fantastic facilities and brilliant supporters – I can’t wait to get started.”
