Chelsea & Tottenham ‘willing to pay’ £48m to sign Paulo Dybala

Chelsea & Tottenham ‘willing to pay’ £48m to sign Paulo Dybala

Reports stemming from France have credited two Premier League sides with an interest in Juventus’ Paulo Dybala.

Dybala’s Juventus stint

Dybala joined Juventus in the summer of 2015, after departing fellow Italian outfit, Palermo.

The Argentine has since notched 244 appearances across all competitions for the Turin-based outfit, enjoying varying degrees of success.

Dybala enjoyed one of his best seasons in a Juve shirt last time out, scoring 11 and assisting 11 in 33 Serie A outings.

The 27-year-old is currently injured, and has missed the Bianconeri’s last 10 league outings as a result.

However, before being sidelined, Dybala wasn’t exactly having the best campaign, having notched just three goals and two assists in 16 outings.

Chelsea & Tottenham linked with Dybala

In turn, with just over a year left on his current Juventus deal, Dybala’s time in Turin may be set to come to an end this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, citing claims from France Football, Premier League outfits Chelsea and Tottenham are both ‘willing to pay €55million (£48m)’ to sign Dybala.

It is added that Juventus’ early Champions League exit at the hands of Porto has increased their need to offload players this summer, with Dybala viewed as a potential trading chip at the end of the campaign.

Should Chelsea and Spurs actually pursue a move for Dybala, though?

The Blues boast too many attacking options as it is, whilst Tottenham aren’t exactly known for splashing out big-money sums at the best of times, let alone when they are still dealing with the financial implications brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
