Chelsea start discussion for 21-year-old attacker

Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of a key attacker.

The player in question is Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.

A report at the end of July claimed that the 21-year-old winger would be available for a fee of around £35m this summer.

101 recently covered reports which claimed Olise is the subject of genuine interest from Manchester City, and it is believed Pep Guardiola’s side see him as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

However, it seems it is another Premier League side – Chelsea – who are leading the race for the winger at present.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Chelsea have held talks with Crystal Palace regarding a move for Lewis Hall and they have initiated discussions for Olise as well.

Galetti adds that Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with a 21-year-old French winger and it is up to the two clubs to agree on a deal.

Olise scored two and assisted 11 in 37 league games last season for Crystal Palace but is expected to miss the start of the current campaign with an injury that will keep him out of action this month.
