Chelsea & Spurs strong favourites to sign Watford’s best player

Will Richarlison leave Watford in January?

As Watford prepare for a huge Premier League game against Manchester United, rumours have spread about the future of their stand out star this season.

Richarlison joined Watford from Fluminense in the summer and was expected to take time to settle in at Vicarage Road.

Instead, the Brazilian, like many of Watford’s players, have thrived under Marco Silva.

With 5 goals and 5 assists in 13 Premier League appearances, Richarlison is undoubtedly one of the signings of the season.

Richarlison odds-on for January exit

The Hornets have been in fine form so far this season, but the bookies reckon a key player could be moving on when the winter transfer window opens.

Richarlison is now ODDS-ON at 3/4 to leave Vicarage Road, with Chelsea the 13/10 favourites to secure his signature.

Chelsea 13/10 favourites to sign Watford ace

Tottenham Hotspur are currently 2/1 shots, while 3/1 says the Brazilian moves to the red side of North London.

It is questionable whether Spurs or Chelsea even need Richarlison with settled attacks. Would Richarlison not be better off playing regularly at Watford?

Whilst Richarlison can play in European competition, Watford have played tough with Everton’s attempts to sign Marco Silva and would likely rebuff offers in January as well.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Richarlison has been the bees knees for the Hornets this season, but with four top sides swarming around the Brazilian star, the buzz could soon go out on Watford’s campaign.”
