Chelsea snubbed: ‘Leak’ claims Jose Mourinho will sign Tottenham star

Three of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are set off against each other in the Star on Wednesday.

Tottenham fans are primed to losing one of their best players to Man United, in news that will annoy some Chelsea fans.

It’s claimed that Spurs left-back Danny Rose is ready to sign for Jose Mourinho’s men.

Danny Rose has been out of action for months, after he sustained a knee injury in January.

However, Rose is finally back in the picture for Tottenham, and he could return to action in the next few weeks.

Will he get into Tottenham’s team though?

Few Spurs fans have forgotten Rose’s explosive interview with the Sun in the summer in which he opened the door to leaving the club.

At the same time, Ben Davies has been performing brilliantly at left-back.

Over the past three seasons, when Davies starts Spurs win 65.57% percent of the time. This drops significantly to 44.0% with Rose.

And, the points difference is also large. Davies averages 2.08 per start. Rose is at 1.72.

‘Leak’ talks to the Star

On the claim that Rose is ready to join Man United, the Star report the following:

Danny Rose will snub Chelsea to join Manchester United next summer instead.

A source said: “The lure of United is too strong for him and if he had the choice he would pick United hands down.”

Who is the leak? Rose’s agent? Or maybe it’s the player himself?

The tabloid claim that Man United could sign Rose for 45 million pounds.

But is that really going to persuade Daniel Levy to sell?

It’s worth noting that Rose is under contract with Tottenham until 2021. It’s believed the defender earns £75,000-a-week at the north London club.
