Chelsea set to bid for Moises Caicedo this week

Chelsea’s big-spending season looks set to continue this month.

Todd Boehly took the reins at Stamford Bridge over the summer and has not been shy when it comes to splashing the cash.

The Blues spent the most of any Premier League club in a single transfer window this past summer signing the likes of Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella.

This winter, meanwhile, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, David Fofana and Joao Felix have already come through the door.

For all the spending, though, Chelsea look set to sign at least one more player before the window slams shut.

As per reports on Tuesday evening, Chelsea are expected to make a bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo this week.

With two new defenders and forwards signed, Graham Potter is reportedly now ready to strengthen his options in the middle of the park.

This comes with both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante expected to leave Chelsea this summer when their contracts expire.

An having worked with the Ecuador international on the south coast, Graham Potter is said to be a big fan.

According to GIVEMSPORT, Chelsea could launch their first bid for the player in the coming days.

A fee of between £65-75m has been touted in recent days.
