Chelsea set sights on Brighton star as Kepa competition

The powers that be at Chelsea have identified a key member of the goalkeeping ranks at Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion as a summer target, according to reports.

The subject of potential reinforcements between the posts, of course, has long proven a headline talking point at Stamford Bridge.

This comes with former Chelsea no.1 Edouard Mendy having departed for the riches of Saudi Arabia, and Kepa Arrizabalaga yet to prove himself the long-term answer to the shot-stopping woes in west London.

In turn, the Blues have been tipped to dip back into the transfer market, to provide new boss Mauricio Pochettino with a more reliable goalkeeping presence heading into the 2023/23 campaign.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then one such option to take his talents to England’s capital has this week been identified.
