Chelsea loan outflux continues as Victor Moses prepares for Russia
The latest word stemming from the media on Friday suggests that Victor Moses is close to departing Chelsea for Spartak Moscow.
Blues rebuilding
The major talking point at Stamford Bridge this summer of course proved the massive influx of high-profile players.
On the back of a pair of transfer windows without a single arrival, Chelsea opted to splash the cash this time around, amid a concerted effort to close the gap on the Premier League’s elite.
This eventually resulted in 7 stars making their way to southwest London.
First up were attackers Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, deals for whom were actually clinched before the transfer window had even technically opened.
All of Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr then followed suit within the space of a week late in August.
The Blues’ most pricey addition came in the form of German midfielder Kai Havertz early last month, before long overdue reinforcements between the posts were also forthcoming in the form of Edouard Mendy.

Moses on the move
As such, inevitably on the back of such a considerable splurge, Frank Lampard’s squad was left rather bloated as Monday’s transfer deadline approached.
The Chelsea boss, in turn, sanctioned a number of departures to balance the numbers, with all of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley and Malang Sarr having been farmed out on respective loans.
Marco van Ginkel, meanwhile, returned to Dutch giants PSV for another season.

And, as outlined above, the loan exodus at Stamford Bridge looks far from over, amid claims that yet another out of favour Pensioners star is on the verge of an exit.
The player in question? Victor Moses.
As confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, versatile wide-man Moses ‘is set to leave’ Chelsea for the campaign ahead.
The Nigerian will link up with Russian powerhouse Spartak Moscow imminently, with Moses eager to secure regular game-time.
This comes after Inter Milan, for whom the 29-year-old lined out last season, decided against activating their purchase option this summer.
