Chelsea are once again looking toward the Serie A to provide the firepower for their side this season.

The man being eyed by the Blues is said to be Napoli hitman, Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is currently plying his trade in Serie A with Napoli, where he has scored 28 and assisted nine in 62 outings to date.

18 of those goals came in 32 outings across all competitions this past term – a solid record.

As a result, it was not too surprising to see the Nigerian linked with Premier League outfit Arsenal during the early stages of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have since signed Gabriel Jesus and renewed Eddie Nketiah’s contract, suggesting that their striker business is done for the summer.

However, Osimhen could still no doubt make an effective striker for Chelsea.

According to talkSPORT, one player Chelsea are considering making a move for is Osimhen, with it claimed that the west Londoners may use Napoli’s interest in Armando Broja as a way of signing the Nigerian.

The fee for Osimhen is expected to be in the region of £80m, but with Broja’s future at Chelsea uncertain, they may be able to use the Albanian as part of a swap deal.

Should that deal go through, on top of the already completed move for Raheem Sterling and a potential centre-back signing, it would be a very productive window for Chelsea’s new owner.

It is not known how much Chelsea value Broja at, or if Napoli would actually consider him as part of a deal for Osimhen.
