Moussa Dembele admits he could leave Celtic
Last January was a stressful time for Celtic fans with Chelsea reportedly keen on signing Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.
On the final day of the January 2017 transfer window, Dembele was spotted on a flight to London and all hell broke loose.
In the end, Dembele stayed and was a crucial member of Celtic’s Invincibles side last campaign.
This season has been an injury-hit one for Dembele, yet the Celtic striker is very highly rated in England and France.
Dembele casts doubt over Celtic future
On Wednesday, Celtic fans have real reason to worry about Dembele’s future.
The Daily Record confirm that Dembele said publicly: “I can say it is part of the plan (to stay) – but the plan can change. It can change. As long as I am here I will give 100 per cent.”
This does not sound like a man who has his heart set on staying at Celtic.
Dembele added: “I just focus on my football and give my best for the club and we will see. For me, every day I will be coming into training. I don’t look at the media or what people are saying about me. I just focus on myself and as long as I am here I will be giving 100 per cent and we will see what will happen in the future. For now I am here.”
Brighton, Chelsea & Liverpool all in the mix
Celtic rate Dembele as worth 30 million pounds. This does not seem to be a high transfer fee for a young striker, particularly for English clubs.
The Daily Record predict that Brighton will bid 20 million pounds for Dembele in January.
It would be an enormous surprise if Chelsea are not linked with Dembele again.
After all, Michy Batshuayi didn’t start last night at Huddersfield, despite Alvaro Morata’s injury.
