Is Romelu Lukaku heading back to Chelsea?
On Saturday, news emerged that Everton had rejected a 57 million pound bid to bring back Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea.
Lukaku played just 10 games for Chelsea during his three year spell with the club after the Blues brought the Belgian striker from Anderlecht.
Loan spells at West Brom and Everton, eventually saw Lukaku leave for Goodison Park permanently two summers ago.
Chelsea need striker reinforcements
This summer, Chelsea look in need of striker reinforcements. Despite the facts that Michy Batshuayi signed from Marseille and that Diego Costa does not look Atletico Madrid bound due to the fact the Spanish side confirmed the signing of Kevin Gameiro today.
On Sunday, the Sunday Express claim that Chelsea will up their bid to 60 million pounds for Lukaku.
Everton are hoping to get 75 million pounds for Lukaku and are also currently fending off bids for John Stones from Manchester City as well.
Lukaku appears keen to re-join Chelsea where he would play alongside international team mates Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Batshuayi.
The Belgian striker played for Everton against Real Betis on Saturday, whilst Chelsea still look very reliant on Eden Hazard to score the goals…
