Chelsea, AC Milan & Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
At the start of the 2017 summer transfer window, many predicted that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would leave Borussia Dortmund.
Auameyang, a lightning-quick Gabonese international, has established himself as one of the top strikers in Europe over recent years.
Last season the striker was the top scorer in the Bundesliga with 31 goals in 31 starts for Dortmund.
Aubameyang has been linked with a move to China, as well as possible switches to Chelsea and AC Milan this summer.
However, he’s so far stayed on at Dortmund. Moreover, Aubameyang scored last weekend in a 3-0 win over Wolfsburg, as Borussia started the season on a winning front.
Yet, on Monday, reports are doing the rounds that Aubameyang’s possible move to either Chelsea or AC Milan may still happen.
Aubameyang up for sale
Belief that Aubameyang may still leave BVB has grown after comments from the striker over the weekend. Discussing his situation, Aubameyang told Radio Montecarlo Italy:
I am still reflecting on whether I should leave or not. This club and these fans are incredible, but if I want to grow, I feel I need to leave.
This is the question I keep on asking myself — and I don’t have an answer. I need time to think about it.
If I want to grow, I surely need to leave this summer. I am 27 and I need to grow. If I leave, it will only be somewhere I would play regularly.
Would Aubameyang get regular football at Chelsea? That’s questionable after Alvaro Morata moved from Real Madrid this summer.
As for AC Milan, Aubameyang took to social media last week to once again place himself in the Rossoneri’s viewfinder.
