Following days of speculation which went so far as to suggest that a deal had been agreed between the two sides, Borussia Dortmund have today officially denied receiving a bid from PSG for star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Several sources in both France and Germany had this week suggested that a deal between the Bundesliga side and the French giants had been struck, with Gabon international Aubameyang set to depart the Westfalenstadion for a fee in the region of 70 million Euro.
However, with official announcement of the deal having been expected in the coming days, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has today shot down reports of such an agreement, insisting that the club are yet to receive any bids for their prized possession.
‘As of now, we have not received any offers from any club across the world.’
While Zorc’s statement seems to have ruled out an Aubameyang move to Paris over the coming days, the Ligue 1 club are still deemed clear favourites for the signature of this year’s Bundesliga top-scorer, with PSG boss Unai Emery keen to pair ‘Auba’ with the prolific Edinson Cavani at the Parc des Princes.
