Bobby Duncan joins Liverpool
Bobby Duncan, who is Steven Gerrard’s cousin, has confirmed that he’s left Man City to join Liverpool.
Duncan has made a name for himself in recent years both at Man City and for the England youth teams.
Back in 2016, Duncan scored a hat-trick for England U16 against Brazil.
Duncan left the Etihad Stadium under a bit of a dark cloud, amid reports of contract disputes with the Sky Blues.
On Friday night the teenager uploaded a photo onto Instagram revealing his contract signing at Liverpool. He added the following message:
I’m Delighted To Announce That I’ve Signed For Liverpool Football Club.
Waited So long For This Day To Finally Come A Club I’ve Grew Up Watching & Supported All My life ….My Boy Hood Club My Dream !!!! Now Lets Get Down to Business.
Liverpool & Man City transfer fee
While the Bobby Duncan’s transfer fee isn’t fully known, most seem to believe the teenager cost Liverpool 200,000 pounds.
Duncan is just the latest youngster to leave Man City in recent times. Last season, for example, Jadon Sancho left the Sky Blues to join Borussia Dortmund.
Slightly concerned this might go under radar in global football news but…
LFC have signed England youth international Bobby Duncan. Officially joins July 1 having left the Man City Academy. Striker has just turned 17.
