Blow for Chelsea: Rafael Leão rushing to sign new AC Milan contract despite the Blues’ push

Chelsea target Rafael Leão looks set to sign a new contract with AC Milan.

Following a very busy and expensive summer transfer window, Chelsea are already planning their next moves.

The Blues backed former boss Thomas Tuchel with £250 million worth of new additions over the summer only to sack him seven games into the new season.

Now, Graham Potter is at the helm and the west London club have a new manager to back.

One player they are looking at very closely is Rafael Leão, however, his latest decision looks set to make a move very complicated.

Leão rushing to sign new Milan deal

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Rafael Leão is in a hurry to sign a new contract with AC Milan and his priority is to stay at the San Siro.

This move comes despite Chelsea continuing to send him clear signals that they want to sign him in January.

The 23-year-old managed 14 goals and 12 assists last season as he helped the Rossoneri win the Scudetto.

But, the Portuguese forward’s mind looks made up and a meeting with Milan over a new deal is in sight.

The next few weeks are set to be crucial in deciding his future.
