According to a report from Le10Sport this evening, one of Bayern Munich’s key players could be set for a return to his former club this summer.
That player is former French international Franck Ribery, who has been plying his trade for the Bundesliga champions for almost a decade now.
At 34 years of age, the pacy winger has started to show signs of wear and tear of late, with numerous niggling injuries causing Ribery to miss substantial periods of the current campaign.
Management at the club, however, are still huge fans of what the former Galatasaray man can bring to the Bayern side when fit, and have let it be known that they will only allow the Champions League winner to leave if Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is signed to take his place.
If the Frenchman does leave Munich this summer, it is reported that it will be for former club Marseille, where Ribery spent two seasons between 2005 and 2007 and would link up with fellow winger Dimitri Payet to form a lethal wide pair.
