Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets is apparently interested in joining ex-manager Pep Guardiola, at Manchester City in the summer.

According to Tribal Football’s Emanuele Giulianelli, the Spaniard has been offered a €9.5million a year contract from Manchester City and isn’t interested in signing a new deal with Barcelona.

Busquets has been at Barcelona since he was teenager and has often been compared to Pep Guardiola (as a player) due to his defensive-midfield duties for the Catalans. During his time at Barcelona, Busquets has developed into one of the best defensive-midfield players in the world, attracting interest from many big clubs.

However it now seems that the 27-year-old could be tempted into joining up with the man who gave him his senior team debut (Pep Guardiola). This could be Guardiola’s first signing for Manchester City as he looks to strengthen up an already solid squad for next season.
