Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish reportedly Man City’s ‘top target’

Jack Grealish

Grealish impressing

Jack Grealish has been in simply sensational form for Aston Villa this term.

Dean Smith’s side currently sit 6th in the Premier League, just three points adrift of table-topping Leicester City, with a game in hand.

And Grealish, unsurprisingly, has proven central to his boyhood club’s fine start to the campaign.

Across seven Premier League outings, the midfielder has managed to net four and provide six assists.

Such impressive form also saw the 25-year-old earn an England call-up this month.

And after a solid showing vs the Republic of Ireland, Grealish is now reportedly in line for his first competitive start for the Three Lions, when they take on Belgium in a crucial Nations League tie on Sunday:

Man City eyeing Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish

As well as carving out a place for himself in Gareth Southgate’s setup, meanwhile, Grealish now also appears to be attracting the interest of an elite Premier League club.

The side in question are Manchester City, with the Daily Star having reported this weekend that the Sky Blues are convinced Grealish is a perfect addition to their squad ahead of next season.

No potential fee is mentioned in the Star’s report, though it is suggested that Grealish is rated at £70m.

Given his form, and the fact that the Englishman only put pen to paper on a new five-year deal last August, it certainly appears likely that Villa would demand a premium fee for their star man.
