Aston Villa & Peter Kenyon

The Express and Star have an eye-catching update on Monday morning for Aston Villa fans.

It’s already been an exhausting few weeks at Villa Park.

Aston Villa received some good news two weeks ago when billionaire buddies Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have bought into the famous English club.

It had recently been confirmed that Aston Villa owe 11 million pounds in transfer fees. While there are reports that Villa’s total debt problems stand at 75 million pounds.

Is former Chelsea and Man United chief executive Peter Kenyon now on his way to Villa Park? Villa fans are told:

Peter Kenyon has been mooted as a possible candidate to become Villa’s new chief executive.

The 64-year-old is known to Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, Villa’s new majority shareholders, and has a long-standing relationship with Jorge Mendes, the super-agent enlisted to help with the club’s recruitment.

Loan deal for Man United’s Axel Tuanzebe

At the same time, the Express and Star report that Man United’s Axel Tuanzebe could be on his way back to Aston Villa.

Tuanzebe was farmed out of Old Trafford to Villa last term.

With his first team opportunities limited at Man United, Tuanzebe may be set for another move before the summer transfer window closes.

The 20-year-old centre-back played five games on loan at Villa last season.
