Arsenal transfer news: Runarsson to leave, Brighton in ‘no rush’ to sell White, trio set to leave

Arsenal transfer news

In this article, we’ll cover all today’s Arsenal transfer news.

Runarsson set to leave Arsenal

Goalkeeper Alex Runarsson will not be part of the team next season as a move to Turkish side Altay Spor is moving closer.

The Icelandic keeper joined Arsenal from French side Dijon last summer and made a few appearances and several mistakes including a horrific effort to stop a Riyad Mahrez free kick in the League Cup.

Runarsson does not count towards the club’s homegrown quota and therefore was a target for the club to secure a move away.

Brighton in ‘no rush’ to sell White

Arsenal’s pursuit of Ben White could be set to go long-distance as the south coast team are in no rush to sell the England international.

Arsenal have already had a bid of £40 million rejected and since have struggled with a second offer for the defender.

White is keen on a move to the Emirates but unless Arsenal stump up the cash there is no chance that Brighton will sell.

The Argus have said reports of a bid being accepted are ‘absolute rubbish’ and that there is no hurry for them to move on their prized defender.

Nelson, Willock & Maitland-Niles all for sale

Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports has revealed that the Gunners are willing to listen to offers for the Hale End graduate trio.

“One other line to bring you concerns Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock & Reiss Nelson – we think Arsenal are listening to offers for all three of those players. The one player that may have a future at Arsenal though is Joe Willock.”

Lokonga won’t join Anderlecht preseason

Despite previously named in the list of players joining up with Anderlecht’s training camp, Sambi Lokonga has been revealed to in fact not be with the team.

He is ‘waiting’ for the deal with Arsenal to be completed.

Neto considered back back-up keeper

With Arsenal wanting a back-up to Bernd Leno and Runarsson on his way out another target has surfaced.

Barcelona’s Brazilian stopper Neto is an option for Mikel Arteta.

The former Juventus and Valencia man would be a cheap option however not a homegrown profile, which could dissuade the Gunners from a move.
