Arsenal offer big money for Alvaro Morata

Arsenal keen on Alvaro Morata

One of the chief protagonists in the early stages of the summer transfer window has been Alvaro Morata.

With Real Madrid having  a buy back clause on Morata and since the Spaniard has been in such good form at Juventus, it is clear that whatever happens, his potential transfer will affect a number of clubs.

Arsenal have been the side in England most heavily linked to Morata in the past week, but Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG are believed to be tracking events.

Arsenal offer 60 million euros for Morata

Alvaro Morata is front and centre on Turin-based newspaper TuttoSport today with suggestions either way of what Juventus will do if he stays, or if he leaves.

All signs point to Morata leaving the club, with an Instagram post emerging earlier this week suggesting his time in Turin is over.

Further in today’s TuttoSport, the Italian paper confirms that Arsenal have bid 60 million euros for the Spanish striker – see Tweets below.

Arsenal looking to upgrade their striker options

Arsene Wenger has been tipped to sign a striker this summer, despite the final day hat-trick from Olivier Giroud.

Theo Walcott could leave The Emirates this summer and once again, Arsenal will be without Danny Welbeck for a lengthy period.

Whilst Morata’s goals to games ratio is not stunning, his potential and ability to score big important goals – e.g. the Coppa Italia winner for Juventus against AC Milan on Saturday night – appears to have convinced Wenger.
