According to RP Online, Arsenal have reportedly made a bid of around €43 million plus bonuses for Borussia Monchengladbach’s Granit Xhaka.
Xhaka, who has caught the eye of many big clubs in Europe, has had a great season with Borussia Monchengladbach and has helped his side almost secure a top 4 finish in the Bundesliga (1 game remaining).
However, a move to Arsenal does seem likely for the Swiss international as he has often stressed that it is a ‘big dream’ of his to someday play in England.
The 23-year-old’s contract runs until the end of June 2019 but an exit clause could allow the Midfielder to leave this summer for a reported €25 million.
If the move was to happen Borussia Monchengladbach could possibly look to Bayern Munich’s defensive midfielder Sebastian Rode, to replace him.
