Arsenal after Arsene Wenger
The confusion around who’ll succeed Arsene Wenger at Arsenal has increased this week.
Fans were largely debating whether Luis Enrique, Max Allegri or Maurizio Sarri would be the best fit for their club.
But on Tuesday, a day after he left Liverpool, coach Zeljko Buvac was linked to the Gunners vacancy.
No one really knows why Zeljko Buvac has left Liverpool. Some say it’s due to a family illness.
Željko #Buvac has apparently been spending a lot of time in Banja Luka, BiH lately. His visits are related to his father's illness, per sources. Rumours about being #Wenger successor may not be accurate. I'm digging though.. stay tuned. #Liverpool #Arsenal #LFC #AFC

Sven Mislintat champions Liverpool’s Zeljko Buvac
On Wednesday morning in the Times, claims that Liverpool coach Zeljko Buvac could be the next Arsenal manager have got louder.
Buvac has worked alongside Jurgen Klopp for 17 years, starting at Mainz and then later at Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal now have a strong link with BVB. While Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are now Gooners, Sven Mislintat is part of the backroom staff at Arsenal too.
And the Times report that Sven Mislintat is championing Buvac to succeed Wenger:
Buvac’s case is believed to have been championed by Sven Mislintat, Arsenal’s head of recruitment, who worked with him at Dortmund.
Gazidis said in his tribute to Wenger 12 days ago that the club would not be afraid to be bold in replacing the Frenchman and Arsenal are willing to consider inexperienced managers such as Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira, their former players.
What seems clear is that Buvac is in the running for the Arsenal job.
Arsenal’s next manager odds
On Wednesday, Zeljko Buvac has dropped to 2/1 to be the next Arsenal manager.
Max Allegri has been pushed out to 4/1, while Luis Enrique is 8/1.
