Arsenal looking to loan market to help solve creativity woes

An update on Arsenal’s January transfer plans has come to light online.

Arsenal looking to loan market to help solve creativity woes

Arsenal eyeing creativity

Arsenal’s desire to add to their ranks in the middle of the park has been evident for some time now.

Technical director Edu publicly voiced the opinion last month that it is clear the club require more midfield creativity.

In turn, the Gunners have been linked with a whole host of potential additions.

Recent RB Leipzig signing Dominik Szoboszlai was heavily linked with the north Londoners before his Germany switch was made official, whilst Isco, Julian Brandt and Emiliano Buendia have also been touted as potential January reinforcements.

Arsenal’s search for a creative midfielder

And now, Dean Jones of Bleacher Report has provided an update on the Gunners’ search for a new creator.

Jones claims that Arsenal have begun looking into loan options to aid Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are said to have been impressed with Emile Smith Rowe of late, with the youngster having of course played a key role in recent wins over Chelsea, West Brom and Newcastle.

However, it is suggested that the north Londoners feel it would be unfair to rely on him week in week out, which makes sense given Smith Rowe’s age and lack of Premier League experience.

Jones also went on to provide an update on Arsenal’s aforementioned pursuit of Norwich City star Buendia.

The capital giants are said to have expected the midfielder to be available for around £25m, but Norwich have since slapped a £40m price-tag on their star man. Significantly, though, it is also confirmed that Mikel Arteta and co. haven’t given up on the Argentine’s signing just yet.
