Arsenal’s Ivan Gazidis & AC Milan
The noise is getting louder.
According to reports out of Italy on Tuesday, Ivan Gazidis is close to be AC Milan’s CEO.
Rumours have been about for a few days linking the Arsenal chief executive with a switch to the San Siro.
AC Milan are a club in crisis. Chinese owner Yonghong Li defaulted on his AC Milan debts, and subsequently he’s lost control of the Rossoneri.
US hedge fund Elliott Management Corporation are now in control of the famous Italian giants, and changes are reportedly coming.
It’s widely believed that the Elliott group have earmarked Gazidis as their top candidate for CEO.
That role is currently filled by Marco Fassone, but Corriere della Sera think he’s toast.

Do Arsenal fans want Gazidis to go?
While AC Milan are planning for big changes, big changes have already taken place at Arsenal.
Unai Emery has replaced Arsene Wenger after his 22-year career at the club.
Arsenal are also busy in the transfer market. Five players have already joined the Gunners: Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
At the same time, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere have left Arsenal.
Would Gazidis leaving the Gunners destabilise the club? Or could it be a good thing for Arsenal as the club have backtracked in recent seasons with Gazidis at the helm.

It took Ivan Gazidis 10 years to rid Arsenal of Wenger, does anyone really think he’d leave Arsenal as soon as he has the chance to be a real CEO? To AC Milan, an FFP deviant with a suspect ownership structure?

Amazing how quickly things change in football, a year ago everyone wanted Gazidis out of the club and most of us would have paid for his travel costs, now Milan are interested in him nobody wants him to go, an that because we’re finally seeing what he can do now Wenger’s gone.
