Arsenal in pole position to sign young Hamburg defender

Josha Vagnoman to Arsenal

Arsenal are going to be a completely different club for the next few season after the aftermath of the Arsene Wenger era.

A lot has changed in North London since the Frenchman’s announcement that he would be leaving the club but there were a few changes made before Wenger left the Emirates.

The biggest advancements that the Gunners made towards the end of the Wenger era were the appointments of Sven Mislintat and Raul Sanllehi.

The duo, formerly of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona were brought in to re-establish Arsenal as one of the best teams in the world and so far, they have attracted some big names to North London such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Mislintat brought the relatively unknown Konstantinos Mavropanos to the Emirates and he has really impressed the Arsenal fans thus far.

Now, he may have found another gem in Josha Vagnoman.

Who is Josha Vagnoman?

Vagnoman is Germany’s version of Ryan Sessegnon.

Vagnoman hasn’t featured often for Hamburg’s first team, in fact the 17 year old made just one appearance last season but he had a tremendous campaign in the reserves.

With Vagnoman in the line up, Hamburg’s under 19 side lost just one match last season.

The teenager can play as a right or left back and is tipped to be one of the stars of the future.

Bild (German), report that Newcastle, Manchester City and Chelsea are all also interested in signing the youngster who suffered from a bizarre injury this season as an insect bite became infected keeping him out of action for several weeks.

Arsenal are in pole position to sign him and he could be the start of a fluctuation of new faces as the new era at the Emirates begins.
