Arsenal desperate to keep the Ox
Oxlade-Chamberlain has entered the final year of his contract at Arsenal and is demanding to sign a new deal worth £120k-a-week.
At this current stage, Arsenal’s offer is believed to be short of Oxlade-Chamberlain’s demands.
Arsene Wenger has made it clear to Arsenal’s board that he does not want to lose Oxlade-Chamberlain to another Premier League rival.
Liverpool and Chelsea have both shown an interest in the player this summer.
Chelsea are understood to be after the winger in order to fill their homegrown quota, with the Blues also setting their sights on English midfielder Ross Barkley.
Wenger hails the Ox
Wenger has heaped praise on the former Southampton player saying, “Personally, I think he is a hugely talented player,”
“He is on the way up and he will continue to move up because that potential is there.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Arsenal from Southampton back in 2011 for a fee of £12m, since making 184 appearances for the Gunners.
