Where will Alexis Sanchez play in 2017/2018?
Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez remains the subject of plenty of transfer gossip.
The Chilean superstar has just one year left on his contract at Arsenal and the Gunners face a serious dilemma this summer.
Today, Sanchez is heavily linked with a move to PSG, with the Parisians surely holding an advantage over Premier League sides such as Chelsea and Manchester City who are interested.
With Sanchez admitting he wants to play Champions League football next season, Arsenal’s options are fairly limited. Either cash in this summer, or lose Sanchez for nothing next summer.
Arsene Wenger appears right now to be hoping for a contract resolution, but all the news coming out of the Sanchez camp suggests this is very unlikely.
Fernando Felicevich is running the Sanchez show
Whilst Sanchez took the step of announcing he wanted to play in the Champions League over the weekend in Chile, it is his agent Fernando Felicevich that appears to be running the show.
Earlier this month rumours emerged that Arsenal’s last contract offer to Sanchez – the highest in the history of the club – was simply ignored by Felicevich.
And, that Felicevich is now tasked with ensuring Sanchez leaves Arsenal this summer.
Alexis Sanchez offered to Real Madrid
Ok Diario report that Felicevich has contacted Real Madrid to see if they are interested in buying Alexis this summer.
Real Madrid have already rejected the suggestion by Felicevich for two reasons.
Firstly, Sanchez could only fit in at Real Madrid if one of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema left the club.
Secondly, Real Madrid see Alexis Sanchez as a difficult character to integrate into their squad and are not willing to take any risks after their success of recent seasons.
This has to be considered more good news for PSG, who look like they have all the cards in place to seal the Sanchez deal with no major European opposition and Premier League clubs blocked by Arsenal.
