Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen calls ‘bullsh*t’ on fatigue rumours

Tottenham & Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen has played 90 minutes in Tottenham’s last eleven Premier League matches.

Despite all that game-time, Eriksen has only scored five goals in the league this season.

The Dane has also chipped in with nine assists in the league.

In the Champions League, Eriksen has two goals in seven matches for Spurs.

Eriksen calls ‘bullsh*t’ on fatigue rumours

The Tottenham midfielder is now back in Denmark for the international break.

As reported in BT, Eriksen has been quizzed about his fitness levels.

Eriksen was asked whether his legs are worn out, which is why Tottenham have been faltering in the league recently.

The Spurs star firmly rejected that theory:

That’s bullshit. You get used to playing so much. After all, I’ve played many games for quite a few seasons in a row.

Rather, it feels unnatural when you’re not playing.

My legs are doing well. We didn’t play at the weekend, and it’s been a long time since we haven’t had matches every third or fourth day.

It is lovely and a little strange. I’m actually a little restless because I want to play.

Eriksen also discussed what the mood is like in the Spurs camp right now:

There is actually a nice atmosphere. Of course we would have liked to win the matches, but we actually played okay.

In the period when it went well, we might have won in overtime. It is small margins that are involved.
