Mauricio Pochettino during Tottenham vs Barcelona

Tottenham & Wolves ‘make contact’ over Copenhagen sensation Robert Skov – El Desmarque

As per a report from Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Premier League outfits Spurs and Wolves have both made contact with Copenhagen over the potential signing of highly-regarded Robert Skov.

Copenhagen standout

Skov, a 23-year-old right-winger, made the move to Copenhagen during the 2018 winter transfer window, for a fee of around 1 million Euro.

And the Danish international’s signing has since proven an absolutely inspired piece of business.

After managing just a solitary goal across 18 SuperLiga appearances during his debut campaign at Telia Parken, Skov subsequently exploded onto the scene with a rake of scintillating showings this past season.

Despite plying his trade on the wing, the former Silkeborg star racked up a hefty 32 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.

Skov is also widely-renowned for his stellar set-piece abilities:

Premier League interest

And the 23-year-old’s breakout campaign does not appear to have gone unnoticed across Europe.

As per the aforementioned report from El Desmarque this evening, a pair of Premier League clubs have already made contact with Copenhagen over Skov’s availability.

The sides in question are Tottenham and Wolves.

This is not the first time that Spurs have been named as keen suitors of the Copenhagen standout, with the north Londoners having previously been linked with a potential move for Skov by Sky Sports back in March:

El Desmarque, though, suggest that it may be La Liga outfit Celta Vigo who currently lead the race for the once-capped Danish international.

The Celestes are said to have opened negotiations with Copenhagen over a deal.

However, the capital giants, aware that a host of clubs around Europe hold an interest in their crown jewel, are in no rush to sell.

As such, should either Wolves or Tottenham return with a firm proposal, securing a deal for Skov appears achievable.

A fee of over 12 million Euro would reportedly be enough to coax Copenhagen into a sale.
