Tottenham vs Manchester United 101 Great Goals prediction: Tottenham 0-1 Manchester United

A win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-finals will hand Tottenham huge confidence ahead of Sunday.

The North London club have been a joy to watch this season and their battle with Manchester United on Sunday is sure to be hugely entertaining.

United’s caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has enjoyed a thoroughly successful return to Old Trafford.

The Norwegian has become the club’s first manager since Sir Matt Busby to win his first five games in charge and the Red Devils are once again a huge threat in the Premier League.

Tottenham vs Manchester United match preview

With Manchester United back in business, Tottenham have a strong chance to once again prove their title credentials.

Last week’s result between Manchester City and Liverpool, will have also encouraged Pochettino’s side.

They are now six points behind the Reds and just two behind the Premier League champions.

Following a disastrous defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers just before the New Year, they responded with a win over Cardiff City.

Against Wolves, fatigue appeared to be the overriding factor and this is something Pochettino will need to monitor on Sunday.

Spurs have a rare midweek off after this game. Much needed after a crazy run of games. The much heralded Tottenham manager has once again shown his ability to inspire his team in the winter months.

Solskjar: Make United Great Again

Meanwhile, United had the week off and opted to travel to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp.

The camp is believed to only have enhanced Solskjaer’s reputation amongst the players.

His first four Premier League games have all been wins and the Red Devils once again look a force to be reckoned with.

In total, under Solskjaer, United have scored 16 goals and conceded just three in five games.

Paul Pogba has led the charge with the 25-year-old has been directly involved in seven Premier League goals.

The first real test for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

As had been widely mentioned in the build-up to this match, Tottenham will provide the first “real” test for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The fact this comes against Mauricio Pochettino, the bookies’ favourite to be the next Manchester United permanent manager, means there is a real air of excitement about this game.

Spurs have looked tired of late whilst United have returned to their attacking principles under Solskjaer.

Will this be the game where we can really say “Manchester United are back?!”

Or, will Tottenham remind us why they have done so well under Mauricio Pochettino and that they cannot be excluded from the Premier League title race just yet?

A fascinating encounter at Wembley awaits!
