Tottenham vs Manchester City betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Tottenham vs Manchester City 101 Great Goals prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Manchester City

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are set to reignite their managerial rivalry on Sunday.

Three points for Tottenham could be vital with Chelsea holding a seven-point gap over them.

If they are to do so, Mourinho will need to defeat one of last season’s top six for the first time as Spurs boss.

Meanwhile, Guardiola will be looking for a response from his side following their defeat to Man United in midweek.

The defending champions head into Sunday 22 points behind Liverpool.

Premier League preview: Tottenham vs Manchester City

Tottenham ended a run of four games without a win by claiming a crucial three points at home to Norwich.

Chelsea losing to Newcastle and being held by Arsenal means the gap is down to six points before the weekend. Seven points after Chelsea’s draw at Leicester.

Spurs’ return to winning ways was aided by another fine perfomance from Giovani Lo Celso.

The Argentine appears to be finally finding his feet in England, also making his switch to Spurs permanent this week.

Another permanent deal the north London club completed this week was the addition of Steven Bergwijn.

The 22-year-old arrives at Tottenham bringing electric pace and sensational dribbling ability.

City’s blues

Liverpool moved 22 points clear of the defending champions this week with wins over West Ham and Southampton.

This year’s race for the title already appears to be over and Guardiola will surely be setting his sights on the Champions League.

But with a two-week break on the horizon, City will have the freedom to give their all against Spurs and the Hammers.

The Blues will also be desperate to overcome their defeat to United in which their defensive frailties were on show.

City’s back-line have been plagued by injuries this season and with Laporte, Fernandinho and Mendy all doubts, Guardiola faces a tough task of selecting the right line-up on Sunday.
