Tottenham vs Man United: Spurs summer plans revealed

Tottenham set to face Man United

Tottenham and Manchester United will go head-to-head in a pre-season match this coming July, according to the Evening Standard.

The Premier League duo will face each other as part of a four-team tournament that will take place in Singapore.

The tournament is part of the International Champions Cup and Italian sides Juventus and AC Milan are expected to be the other two clubs joining United and Spurs.

The game between Man United and Spurs could also be very interesting for another reason.

OGS vs Pochettino

After Jose Mourinho was sacked rumours were circulating that Mauricio Pochettino could be the man to replace him at Old Trafford.

According to the report from the Standard, Pochettino is still thought to be a leading candidate for the United job.

However, given how well Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing, he may well get the job over Pochettino come the end of the season.

Solskjaer has now gone 10 games unbeaten in the Premier League as Man United boss, winning eight and drawing two.

The latest of which saw United grind out a draw vs league leaders Liverpool despite being forced to make three subs inside 43 minutes.

Lloris on Tottenham’s title chances

As for Tottenham, they lost 2-1 to Burnley on Saturday and are now six points off top spot.

Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has since given his thoughts on Spurs title chances ahead of a week that sees his side face Chelsea and Arsenal:

“I don’t really care what people say,” said Lloris. “We [the players] are inside the club — we know what’s happening here. We need to keep strong and don’t lose energy to listen or to read what is happening outside.

“Before we think about playing for titles, the next week is very decisive. Afterwards, we will see where we are in the table.”As quoted by the Evening Standard.
