Tottenham vs Huddersfield betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Tottenham vs Huddersfield 101 Great Goals prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to make it three wins from three at their new stadium on Saturday.

Victories against Crystal Palace and Manchester City will have given Spurs a huge confidence boost following their poor run of form.

However, they look to have lost Harry Kane for the remainder of the season with the striker suffering another ankle injury.

Huddersfield Town face their second game since their confirmed relegation but Jan Siewert will at least be looking to see his side go out with a flourish.

Premier League preview: Tottenham vs Huddersfield

Having gone five games without a win, Tottenham look to be back on track following two consecutive victories.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has Mauricio Pochettino’s side playing with a spring in their step ahead of Saturday.

After cruising to a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, they then managed to defeat Manchester City.

The Premier League champions were unable to break down Spurs and were swamped by the hosts’ pressure.

But with everything going so well, Harry Kane was forced off with the striker set to miss the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old suffered his fifth ankle injury in three years to deal Spurs’ top four and Champions League hopes a huge blow.

Tottenham will now be looking to Heung-min Son, Lucas Moura and Fernando Llorente to step up.

Huddersfield hoping to go out with a flourish

With their relegation having already been confirmed, the Terriers are now playing just for pride.

Siewert’s side sit rock bottom with even 18th-placed Cardiff City having double their total number of points.

Last weekend, they were humiliated 4-1 at home by Leicester City.

The west Yorkshire club have currently lost five of their last five, with a surprise win over Wolves their last positive result.

Champions League review: Tottenham 1-0 Manchester City

Heung-min Son made it two goals in two appearances at the new stadium to hand Spurs a slender lead over Manchester City.

Crucially, Pochettino’s side managed to keep City at bay in order to deny them an away goal.

Hugo Lloris produced a wonderful save from Sergio Aguero’s spot-kick in what they hope will be a defining moment in the quarter-final tie.

Tottenham team news vs Huddersfield

Harry Kane is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering yet another ankle injury against City. Latest reports suggest Kane will be out for three months and will miss out on playing for England in the Nations League this summer as well.

The Englishman collided with Fabian Delph which saw his ankle get caught under his England teammates’ boot.

Dele Alli is also a doubt after suffering a suspected broken hand in the Champions League tie.

There is hope that the 23-year-old will still be able to play by wearing a protective cast.

Meanwhile, Serge Aurier, Eric Dier and Erik Lamela all remain sidelined for the clash.
