Tottenham Champions League

Tottenham vs Everton 101 Great Goals prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Lucas Moura wrote his name into Tottenham Hotspur folk lore by netting a hat-trick to send his side to Madrid.

Spurs ended a run of three consecutive defeats by defeating AFC Ajax in Amsterdam to reach the Champions League final.

With Mauricio Pochettino’s men now on cloud nine and a top-four spot all but secured, the Argentine now faces a tough job of refocusing his players.

However, should Everton hope to take advantage of Spurs’ vulnerability, they must improve their poor recent away record.

On their travels, the Toffees have failed to win four of their last six, which includes defeats to Watford, Newcastle United and Fulham.

Premier League preview: Tottenham vs Everton

A party atmosphere is expected in N17 on Sunday following Tottenham’s Champions League triumph.

Spurs once again overcame the odds in Europe to book their place in Madrid against Liverpool.

After the weekend’s final league fixture, Pochettino will have 20 days to prepare his players for the final.

The Argentine’s team selection is likely to see a number of changes from the side that started in Amsterdam.

However, he will have to ensure that his players’ minds are focused when Everton arrive at their new stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s perfect start was brought to an end following defeats to West Ham United and Ajax.

Pochettino will be keen to get back on track there as soon as possible, starting this Sunday.

Can Everton reproduce Goodison form away from home?

Everton have been in sensational form at Goodison Park recording consecutive wins over Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Burnley.

However, it is their form away from Merseyside which has caused them issues and the chance of playing European football next season.

The Toffees have lost nine of their 18 away games this term leaving them just short of 7th place.

Marco Silva will hope to improve that record this weekend but with nothing left to play for, there will be question marks over their desire.
