Heading into the final week of the January transfer window, action is beginning to heat up across the Premier League, and Tottenham is no different with a pair of updates surfacing.

Firstly, one man could potentially be departing the club in the form of Bryan Gil.

The Spaniard is subject to interest from Ligue 1 side Nice, who currently sit 2nd in the French top flight and are looking to continue their strong form to force their way into the Champions League next season.

Should they do so, it would be for just the second time in their history, and a finish in their current spot would be the first time that they reach the group stages, having been knocked out in the qualifying round of the 2017-18 edition.

Now, the French side are interested in taking Gil on loan for the remainder of the season to help them achieve this, according to L’Equipe.

The Spaniard has shown glimpses of why Tottenham agreed to fork out 25 million pounds and Erik Lamela for his services, but does not have a recognisable spot in Antonio Conte’s current system, having seen just 28 minutes of Premier League action since the Italian took over.

It could prove a move that would suit all parties, especially should he be replaced in the squad by another Spaniard.

The latest on Adama Traore

Now, as per the generally reliable Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are increasingly confident of signing Wolves wide-man Adama Traore.

There is no talk of a potential fee, but it is certain to be higher than the 15 million pound bid that the Lilywhites saw rejected last week.

But, should it be completed, it would be the first of many much-needed additions under Conte.
