Tottenham set sights on highly-regarded Portuguese midfielder

As per a report from Portuguese outlet A Bola, Premier League outfit Tottenham are eyeing a summer move for Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder, only made the move to Sporting last summer from Serie A side Sampdoria, but has already established himself as one of the club’s key players.

The creative 4-time capped international has managed to rack up an extremely-impressive 13 goals and 16 assists across all competitions to this point in the campaign, resulting in links with some of European football’s biggest clubs.

The capital outfit are rumoured to be on the lookout for midfield additions this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino said to be keen on providing further competition for the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Erkisen (who has been linked Barcelona and Juventus).

And Fernandes, with his eye for goal and ability to unlock defences with a moment of brilliance, has reportedly been identified by Spurs as the ideal summer addition to the club’s ranks in the middle of the park.
